shop shop shop!

Shopping is therapeutic when you know you're getting your money's worth.

That is exactly the therapy I got today.

Two months have passed since I last stepped into shopping paradise known as Tutuban. It was like the meeting of two long lost friends when I saw the barage of stores around me. I went to stores I've been to before and tried a couple of new places. I went crazy over one outlet's jeans and nearly hoarded the buy 1 take 1 rack in another outlet.

More than the variety and the fit of the clothes, the best thing about Tutuban goods is that it is dirt cheap. Greenhills would be ashamed of their sky high prices. We're talking about 2 for P190 shirts that are of good quality, not to mention P99.75 blouses in all cuts and colors. Oh and yeah, stretch jeans that fit your ass perfectly- for just P300, may tawad pa.

Looking at the stuff I bought, I definitely will make Kylie Minogue proud. I went loco over the 80's style shirts, complete with larger than life buttons and shoulder pad like details. I'd like to think the 80's are back! Haha...

So much for shameless plugging! You guys should go to Tutuban soon!

more 3 fold utopian dreams!

The DLSU results were released today and for a lot of us, it was a make-or-break moment. I'd love to get into the details but that would be too taxing. Anyway, the bottomline is me and a lot friends (siopitohs and lots of classmates) were accepted in La Salle. I consider that a feat because WE found the test draining and definitely mind boggling! Question #1 pa nga lang, hindi ko na masagot, not to mention 2 essays we had to make in 30 minutes!

It's weird how all of a sudden, I see balimbings- die hard Ateneo friends (classmates and batchmates alike) surrendering their blue flags for green ones. It turns out that a lot of them are in love with their courses in the Taft campus. They just never really valued it because it is La Salle. Oh you know, the stigma that La Sallians are too much of this and too little of that.

All is good.

In spite of the good news, I still want to see my Ateneo results. An acceptance would spell the difference between a career in marketing (eventually in fashion) and a carrer in law.

I was going through my friend's blog and found this statement: Life is only as good as the memories we make.

It got me thinking... Does the statement include bad memories or just the good ones?

What if your life is filled with sucky memories or things you just want to forget, is your life just as bad?

Damn... if you're life is one full of bad memories, is your life still worth living?

Well, I'm not saying mine is because I'm loving life. Everyday, I realize that there is something to live for. And, I'm not talking about a particular person. There's something (even the most minute, trivial thing) that we should all look forward to.

That's easier said than done, right?

Today was uneventful.

Well, not really... I finished the first season of 24. I know, the show is so 2 months ago. But anyways (gramatically correct to, mind you!), it marks a milesone because I've been delaying my date with Jack Bauer for the past 2 weeks. I must say, the ending was great. The whole Nina thing came as a surprise to me. If I may add, I hate Kim Bauer!

For some strange reason, my showbiz radar has been down. I only found out about Miko Sotto's recent death a couple of minutes ago. If there are any Sotto family members reading this, my condolences.

Some pluging: If you are single and have nothing to do on the night of February 13, please accompany me to the Boyz II Men and Brian McKinight concert in ULTRA. Let's make Tin plan it! By the way, if you have an SO (MU, boyfriend, etc), you're not included in the plans. This is the for the single ones only. Haha...

There goes...

Oh yeah, when you watch the momentous sunrise of the new year or when you go out drinking on the 31st, please remember me. I will be sulking in Sagada, staring into the starless sky and freezing in my pantulog. I don't know how to survive the cold because my socks are still in it's oh so sorry state- it still has those gigantic holes on the sole!
